We went out to do an Irving roofing job for a homeowner whose kids had accidentally damaged the roof. The homeowner had two rowdy boys who had been jumping off the roof. Of course, their game escalated until they had broken off several shingles and causes a large hole. We were able to get everything patched up and looking like new in just under a few hours, and the homeowner was thankful to have a great reason to tell their boys to stay off the roof.
The roof repair was scheduled
Our crew arrived at the home in Irving and got on the roof to start repairing it. The crew removed the damaged shingles and the damaged wood. The crew cut a new thick plywood and applied it to the roof rafters. Once the plywood was installed, the crew started laying felt paper to the area. The crew then started to install the new shingles to the damaged area. Once all the shingles were installed the crew went over the rest of the roof to make sure there were no cracked shingles or loose shingles, and there were several shingles that were loose that needed to be reattached to the roof. The crew also replaced four additional shingles because they were brittle and starting to crumble. These brittle and crumbling shingles were not caused by the boys but they probably were caused by a limb that had rubbed against the roof.
The crew made sure the roof was repaired properly and they even repaired and replaced a few additional shingles that we didn’t even charge the customer for because our crew always goes the extra mile for each of our customers. Our crew cleaned up the area, then let the homeowner know that the roof was all done and repaired. The homeowner thanked the crew for doing the job so quickly.
The homeowner said she was waiting for her two boys to get home from school so she could tell them that she had to hire a roof repair specialists because of them jumping off the roof. She said she is going to make them do extra chores, so they realize that when you damage something you have to pay to repair it.
The crew let the customer know that if she had any additional problems to feel free to call the office and we would be back out. She again thanked the crew for coming out so fast and doing the job so quickly. Our crew was just happy to see that the boys didn’t cause more damage than they did and the roof repairs were fairly minor, which was a bonus for the customer.
